Breeds we offer
☽ Our breeds can be sexed at hatch and are sold as female chicks, and our hatching season is February through May. To purchase baby chicks from us, check out our chick order page, or give us a follow on facebook or instagram to keep up with what we have available.
Mauve Ameraucana

The most beautiful milk tea coloured birds, with vibrant aqua eggs! Many folks instantly fall in love with the Ameraucana for their distinctive extra fluffy cheek feathers (beard and muff), pea comb, abundance of bright turquoise eggs (250+/year). This breed was developed in the United States in the 1970s. They are a quiet, gentle, low maintenance breed that make an excellent addition to any flock. Many folks tell us that our Ameraucanas remind them of "cute little fluffy hawks" or "owls". This breed can be sexed at hatch and are all sexed pullet (female) chicks upon purchase.
Moss Egger

Our eye-catching and adorable Moss Egger was thoughtfully bred to be prolific layers (280+/year) of earthy, mossy olive green eggs - often with heavy speckling or heavy bloom. They have rich, chocolate espresso coloured plumage - and most also have fluffy cheeks. Each bird lays a unique shade, adding a diversity and a touch of green envy to your rainbow egg basket. Lavender Orpington

This cuddly pillow-like bird has a large, heavy body and a low stance with extremely fluffy feathering; making them big teddy bears when combined with their docile and easy-going temperaments. They are abundant layers of soft, baby pink-tinted eggs - laying up to 280+ per year. Our Orpingtons are a beautiful and sought-after lavender colour. The Orpington is a popular British breed of chicken first bred in England in the late 1800s. We have developed a line that can be sexed at hatch and are all sold as sexed pullet (female) chicks.
Opal Legbar

The Opal Legbar is a vibrant and well-loved breed, known for their generous production (up to 280/year) of large, round blue eggs and their distinctive, elegant head crests that give them a striking look. The opal colour variety resembles an iridescent pearl or fair moonstone. The breed was created in the early twentieth century at the Cambridge University in England. They are active, agile, and curious; with a gentle and friendly nature towards humans and flockmates. This breed can be sexed at hatch and are all sexed pullet (female) chicks upon purchase.
Chocolate Copper Marans

​A classy bird that will remind you of hot cocoa and crisp autumn leaves. They produce many deep and rich espresso coloured eggs - often with speckles or heavy bloom (around 250/year). The unique dark eggs of the Marans are said to be coveted by French chefs. They are appreciated for their hardiness and versatility, laid-back temperament, and aesthetic appeal.
